After 28 busy years, I am sorry to announce that Country Threads shop will close in mid-late July 2022 due to my retirement.
We currently have 20% discount on most fabrics online and in the shop.
Thank you all for your custom over the past years and I hope to see you in the shop soon!
Welcome to Country Threads!
Country Threads is a dedicated Patchwork and Quilting shop in the heart of the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, Somerset. The shop opened in 1994, so we are well established and bring a wealth of experience to helping quilters choose fabrics, work out patterns, and calculate quantities.
The shop has an eclectic mix of fabric styles and patterns, from Liberty to Kaffe Fassett, from novelties to brushed cottons.
We offer a tremendous choice of good quality cottons, together with books, wadding, haberdashery and many gorgeous ribbons.
We can offer a comprehensive mail order service by phone and email as well as a straightforward online service.
Please note that we don't have all our stock online - there is much more in store!
Visiting the Shop
You can find us in the beautiful Georgian City of Bath in Somerset, down a little cobbled street within the sound of Bath Abbey Bells. Why not combine a visit with all Bath has to offer? The Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent, the Jane Austen Museum and the wonderful quilt collection at the American Museum...
Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4.30pm
Country Threads is located on Pierrepont Place, just off Pierrepont Street in central Bath.
You can find a car park within 200 yards of the shop on Manvers Street, and another multi-storey car park in the South Gate development. Unfortunately there is no parking directly outside the shop.
By train from Bath Spa Station, we are a two minute walk up Manvers Street, and through the pillars on your left into Pierrepont Place.
By Park And Ride / Bus
There are park and ride facilities to the north of Bath at Lansdown, to the west at Newbridge, and to the south at Odd Down. A service also runs on Saturdays from Bath University. We are a short walk from Bath's bus station, either through Southgate or up Manvers Street and through the pillars on your left.
If you have a disabled badge then you can park outside the shop for a limited period. There is one step up to the shop entrance.
